Our purpose as a ministry is to see kids walking in their identity as children of God, knowing that Jesus has already paid the price for all sickness, all lies, and all sin. Through our worship, lessons, and activations we have the intent of helping kids build a foundation that is so solid it can’t be shaken by the chaos of the world. We intentionally create an atmosphere where kids come in and feel safe, they feel seen, and they know that we love them. The Holy Spirit loves being with His children, so we make sure to have an open door for Him to do what He is breathing on. We believe it is possible to raise up children that are so passionately in love with Jesus and on so on fire for Him that they change the whole attitude of the church. Kids are the most powerful in the Kingdom, when the church begins to realize that and they start to see them as powerful and see them as important, it will bring victory to the bride of Christ.
The deepest desire of our children’s ministry is to raise up children that intimately know God as Father in a real way, that God would not just be an idea to them, church would not just be something that you do because it's “good” but that our kids would experience the real, true God, who is so close, and sees them as valuable. That we have children who love the church and see the beauty of church. When a child realizes that they can hear from God it is immediately a game-changer and they will never be the same. We have a high focus on teaching our children that they can hear from God, so that as they grow up they already have a relationship with Him.
On Sundays we choose to utilize all four of the main ways a child learns. Those four ways are called visual learning, auditory learning, tactile learning, and kinesthetic learning. We use all four of these learning styles to ensure that every child in the room has the full potential to understand and absorb what is being said. God is a creative God; we know that from Genesis 1:1, so we partner with God in developing creative and fun ways for Way Kids to experience God, learn about God, and grow their faith.
